Title IX, Equal Employment and Affirmative Action

Mission Statement

The mission of Title IX, Equal Employment & Affirmative Action (Title IX/EEAA) is to affirm and promote the University’s commitment to:

- providing campus community members to a working, living and learning environment free from discrimination or harassment on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, veteran status or any other characteristic protected by law or University policy,

- preventing and addressing sexual violence and other conduct prohibited by the University Policy on Sexual Violence and Sexual Harassment, and 

- equal opportunity and affirmative action programs and plans.    

The office is part of the Chief Compliance unit, and supports the broader ethics & compliance program goals of preventing illegal and unethical conduct. 

The office supports UCR’s commitment to diversity, partnering with the Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion.
